DI3270 Non-SNA Coax is a full-featured micro-to-mainframe connectivity product able to operate standalone or as a gateway between an IBM host and a micro-based local area network communicating via non-SNA coax protocol. DI3270 Non-SNA Coax supports four concurrent host sessions in a standalone configuration and from 5 to 32 sessions (or user workstations) in a LAN gateway configuration. Data is transferred between DI3270 Non-SNA Coax and a model "B" or "D" 3x74 controller at 1.5Mbps coax speed. DI3270 can also attach non-SNA coax to a model "C" controller running bisync to the host.

DI3270 Non-SNA Coax supports ICOM's full complement of gateway support features, including gateway and network managment; support of multiple gateway environments; and automatic load balancing.

TN3270 Access
In a gateway configuration, the DI3270 MultiProtocol Comm Server can support access from any TN3270 or TN3270E terminal emulator, regardless of host connect protocol.   In the case of DI3270 Non-SNA coax, this means that any TN3270-compatible emulator can be used to access a "bisync" host, including  Attachmate Extra!, Wall Data Rumba, WRQ Reflection, and Zephyr Development Passport, to name a few. 

Coax Adapters
DI3270 Non-SNA Coax supports up to five concurrent sessions on DI's DFT Coax Adapter, and up to 32 sessions on DI's Multiplexed Coax Adapter, which emulates IBM's 3299 coax multiplexer.
