*DI3270 MPCS provides SNA/ SDLC, 802.2 LLC, X.25/QLLC, SNA coax, bisync and non-SNA coax connections to IBM mainframes.

Terminal Emulation: 3x78/79 models 2, 3, 4, 5. Monochrome, 4- or 7-color, full screen, extended attribute support.

Printer Emulation: LU1 and LU3 printing, 3287 and 3289 printer emulation. Configuratble Printer Control File enables remapping of LU1 functions for any printer.

Extended Keyboard Support: Enhanced 101/102-key and 122-key KeyTronicsTM or ITITM keyboards are fully configurable.

National Language Support: The DI3270 CONFIG program lets the user specify the Host Character Set, PC Code Page, and PC Keyboard. In addition to stock keystroke translate files for most European and Scandinavian languages, DI3270 gives the user the ability to reconfigure every key on the keyboard, enabling integrators and users to develop keystroke translate tables to match any combination of national language and application requirements.

Session Configuration: For each DI3270 Workstation session you can specify foreground and background colors, status line and text colors, and font type and size.

File Transfer: IBM IND$FILE (SEND/RECEIVE) file transfer.

Application Program Interface: The DI3270 MultiProtocol Workstation provides HLLAPI support within the Windows environment via Attachmate® HLLAPI, IBM® EHLLAPI for Windows, and Windows HLLAPI specification. Multiple HLLAPI programs connect to multiple MPWS sessions using the same HLLAPI DLL. Under DOS the MultiProtocol Workstation supports EHLLAPI and PS API.

Diagnostic Trace: Traces communications between DI3270 Comm Server and workstation.

NetView RTM: NetView Response Time Monitor measurement is supported by the DI3270 MultiProtocol Workstation when connected to the DI3270 Communciations Server or connected via SNA protocol directly to the host

Multiple Comm Server Support: In a DI3270 Comm Server environment, multiple servers can operate concurrently on the same LAN connected to different hosts via different protocols. Each DI3270 workstation can engage in multiple host sessions concurrently, with different hosts, via different host communication protocols.

MPWS for WINDOWS FEATURES

Auto Font Sizing: If you select the auto font sizing option, as you increase or decrease the size of the 3270 session window, the font automatically resizes to let you view all host display information in the selected typeface.

Auto Window Sizing: The 3270 session window automatically sizes to match the font size specified, enabling you to optimize monitor display area.

The DI3270 MultiProtocol Workstation for the Windows operating environment supports Windows 3.1, '95, '98, and NT.

3270 Soft Keypads: Displayable anytime the DI3270 workstation is running, the soft keypads contain 3270 function keys such as the PF keys, Cursor Select, etc. Just click on the appropriate key to initiate that function in the active session. Three sizes of soft keypad are selectable from the workstation Options menu.

Personalization File: The DI3270 MultiProtocol Workstation lets you maintain a personalization file that maintains a record of your preferences. The personalization file information includes window size and position, font settings, file transfer parameters, and soft keypad and printer selections.

Note: A subset of the full MPWS for Windows is available from Data Interface for network connection only.   The "network edition" workstation includes protocols for connection to Netware for SAA (native), any gateway or mainframe via TN3270E (eg, SNA Server, IBM eNetwork Server, etc.), and over NetBIOS or IPX to a DI gateway.  This network-only workstation is available at a reduced price.  It does not include support for direct SDLC or coax connection.

MPWS for DOS FEATURES

Memory Management Tools: The DI3270 MultiProtocol Workstation takes advantage of the LOADHIGH command to let you store programs and data beyond the 640K boundary. DI's module linker lets you optimize the features you include with the product to fit available memory.

Background File Transfer: IND$FILE can run as a foreground or background task.

Local Menu: The DI3270 Local Menu function lets you free sessions without exiting the emulator, detect which comm servers are available and change between them, and capture traces and operational statistics for diagnostic purposes.
